ECT Electroconvulsive Therapy is a hospital based intervention performed under general anesthesia either on an inpatient or outpatient basis. ECT is highly effective for the management of major depression that has failed to respond to psychotherapy and psychopharmacology interventions, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and/or Ketamine Infusion Therapy (KIT).
